Helperz.dk is a cool team of 3 people, who are also behind the steering wheel of a NON-profit organization Bevare Ukraine. I befriended them while being a part of Wildskab Start-Up hub.
Late summer 2017 they asked me to design a poster for a charity concert they were organizing in Aarhus, Denmark, at a well visited place called VOX Hall. They had very little time, and we were rushing, but the concert was a success and attracted more people than predicted. On year 2017 Aarhus was also a European Capital of Culture, inviting many foreign artists, because of that I was even happier to have my posters out for a live music event in Aarhus.
The poster was made for free, or better said :D in an exchange of an invitation to a concert :D
Helping other businesses for free is a great way to make valuable connections, and it is in a way similar to a charity work, so in the end, it is very rewarding too! IF you combine it with what you love to do, and some good rock... well, you can only get a "karma +" and a feeling of awesomeness! I totally encourage getting involved in some activities where your professional skills can help create great value for the local, or any other community.
